New Spring
I’m visiting an awesome church tomorrow…New Spring in Anderson South Carolina.
It was started as a College small group of 15 in 1999 and is now at a tiny 8,000 in regular weekly attendance.
The miracle is that its in Anderson South Carolina…a smaller to medium sized town, it is by no means not a “large” city. I guess that is a perfect setting for God to show off! I an’t wait!

What couldn’t be done!
“Nick, you can’t give up coke!”Ha Ha Ha!!! I am going on 4 months sober!!!
I’ve lost 12 pounds…and I feel great…no more horrible headaches from lack of caffeine.
I have taken up Un-sweet tea, sugar free Lemonade (Tropicana & Minute Maid).
Excercise has helped too. That is one of the reasons I have not been able to blog like I want to, learning a new job, doing the new job, and excercise…excuses, I know!
By the way, this all came about because I want to lose weight…12 pounds down and 24 to go!
If we could only see in the future…
I know it was God’s will for me to leave my former church! I couldn’t see all of the details, but I just knew…About a month ago all Hell broke loose at that church and a lot of people got hurt. I feel horrible that I could not have done more than I did to help them and to encourage them, they are in God’s hands.
I am so misreable! I really hate not being able to do what I love doing full time. I really have a passion for students and for ministry, but I feel like I am working just to pay the bills, not to make a difference! Ah…if I could only see into the future. I really felt like God led me to the church where I am a volunteer leader, but why then am I misreable? I guess I can only have confidence that in this situation he has already seen the future for me and is simply guiding me towards the plans that he has for me!
