The Georgia Bulldogs won the SEC Championship in basketball today. Who saw that coming? After only winning 4 conference games this year…I certainly didn’t see it. However, I guess the tornadoes rocking their home state served as enough motivation to win 4 games in 4 days, 2 of the 4 on Saturday, one against a strong Kentucky team, and the second against the SEC West regular season champs, Mississippi State. The Georgia Bulldogs earned a NCAA tournament bid with their championship run. They are ranked 14th and will play the #3 Xavier team. A huge challenge, so we will see what happens!

I’ve caught a few of your excellent blog posts in the past but I had to comment on this nod to the SEC win. It was an incredible surprise, and a series of great games. Especially the miss state bout, I nearly did a spit-take of my Bulldog gin and tonic all over the rug when that when that one came to a head. Waitin’ on the next game, and cheers!
