Some Christians are Weird…

I will never question another Christian’s passion for Jesus and sharing the Good News with those around us, but there are some people who are just plain weird!!! I snapped these pictures on my way to work the other day…these do not do justice to the actual vehicle (WOW!!!) It was decked out in full manger scene characters, a digital sign that said something about Jesus Christ’s birth, death, and resurrection in us…I am sorry but I think people would run with this guy approaching. I admire his passion for Jesus, but sometimes we have to ask ourselves if what we are doing is a help or a hindrance?!?! (Some of the pictures are poor quality, the sun was bright, my windows were dirty, and I was driving…)

Window Cleaning Pictures

Here are some random photos from my past few days as a window cleaner:

I am up on the ledge above the second floor, here is a shot all the way down to the first level of the Augusta Mall where we are cleaning their windows. Did I mention that they surrounded the entire top of the mall with windows? Its going to be a long few months…but the money is good!!!

Cleaning on the ledge atop of Abercrombie and Fitch…I thought I was going to fall through their roof!

Eric swinging around the corner atop of Abercrombie

As you can see the rafters to the mall is at our heads…I am above the elevator which is directly behind my head…this is above the second floor.

Faith? This is all that holds me to the ledge, can anyone say Cliffhanger? I have not seen anyone that looks like Sylvester Stallone on our team…plus he dropped the chick in the movie.

The side of Terry…He is a real construction man!

Christmas Money & Second Jobs

Last week I picked up a second job to help bring in some extra Christmas Money and to help pay off some credit card debt, its tough, but the money is good, so right now that is a good thing. The Augusta Mall is doing some major construction (adding stores and improving the ones that we already have), and my neighbor owns a Window Cleaning company, so he picked up the contract to clean all of the windows in the mall. They only do it once every 10 years, so as you can imagine they are extremely dirty!

Here is a glance at my schedule for this past weekend and for the upcoming regular schedule…

Thursday night I worked from 9:30 p.m. until 1:00 a.m.
Friday night I worked from 9:30 p.m. until 3:00 a.m.
Saturday night I worked from 9:30 p.m. until 3:00 a.m.
(of course when I get home I am wired from all the caffeine I have indulged in, so I get to sleep around 4:30 a.m.)

Now that I am in on the project I will be working a good bit more, so my daily schedule will look something like this:

6:30…okay more like 7:00 a.m. – I fall out of bed
8:30ish a.m. – 5:00 p.m. First Pres. (Regular Job)
5:30ish p.m. – Get home & Eat Dinner
6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Spend time with the family and/or catch a brief nap
(Except Wednesday’s when I have student ministry)

So needless to say, I will be quite busy over the next couple of months and I am sure I will want to hibernate for the Winter when its all done…by the way I will be posting some photos of my new side career in the next day or so, its kind of awesome!
