Sunday School Attendance Board

I am cleaning off my cell phone and came across some pictures that I took with the intent of posting them on here. Here is something I have not seen in years, a Sunday School Attendance Board, this was hung at the church where my sister got hitched to her now husband. They got married in Matt’s (her husband’s) church. Matt was in town with Jamela the week before this was taken, which means he is the reason the attendance was down to 97 the week prior. Shame, Shame, Shame…you shouldn’t be missing Sunday School.

A Church Without Walls

Sunday morning I visited a friends church called, “A Church Without Walls.” They’ve been meeting for about 2 months and are up to 40 people. They meet in downtown Augusta in the middle of Broad Street, as you can see there is a median where people can sit and hangout. They are seeing people come to know Christ and grow in their relationship with him. This was so cool. Their target is the homeless and the extremely low income or people living in poverty. God is using them greatly here. I could not help but to think that this is how Jesus would probably do church, minus the pulpit they have in the picture (they really use it as a sign holder). There is no issues with dress, no legalities, no politics, just people loving people and sharing God’s message of hope and salvation with them. They’ve even started a Monday night group in a nearby home for the elderly for discipleship. They have plenty of great stories already, but the funnest experience is to watch people interact who have no church experience…if they see someone they know crossing the street, they will yell out to them in the middle of the service…they just don’t know, and to me, that is cool!

This was funny.

The guy in the construction vest made me laugh, it was just a funny picture. I wouldn’t want to play him in basketball though…he was extremely tall.

Grammy and Budweiser

Yes! I allowed my 4 year old to drink beer…okay not really, but I did have him pose with the super Budweiser can in Wally World. Many in our family despise alcohol because of the turmoil it has caused in our family, but there is no one who despises it more than my mom, a.k.a. “Grammy.” Of course I had to get the picture for her…after I snapped the shot I told Gavin, “Don’t you ever touch that stuff again!”

What a disgrace!!!

Nicki and I stopped by the “Overpriced Indoor Yard Sale” formerly known as the Goodwill on Saturday to see if we could strike us up some bargains. No bargains here…But I did see where someone either 1) Died, 2) Got admitted to the insane asylum, or 3) Are just plain idiots. As pictured there is a copy of “Return of the Jedi, Star Wars, and Lord of the Rings. A total disgrace!
