Amazed

I was asked to stand in for my pastor mid-afternoon yesterday (Saturday) for today’s service.
I had only a few hours to prepare as I was not as prepared for a surprise like this as I guess I should have been.
It was amazing becuase I could feel the Lord filling in the gaps that I did not have time to prepare for! I felt like everything flowed smoothly which to me is an indication that God was in control, because had He not been it would have been horribly choppy =)

Oh well I continue to be amazed by the Lord!

I took some of the stuff from this web site and the book this group of people published and combined it with the 7 checkpoints by Andy Stanley and Stuart Hall, as well as Welcome to the Planet by Doug Fields, I re-packaged it into a 7 week series (I know a little long!) called “Road Trip” and it has been a great series with the students.

I think the students like the Green RV the most!

Good News!!!

Today in the Bible class I am teaching we reached chapter 7 in the Purpose Driven Life Book.
It came to the place in our reading where Rick challenges the reader to whom they will live for, themselves or God, so as a class we prayed through the Believe and Receive prayer and it was great how the students responded!
Out of all 3 of my classes here were the responses from Middle and High School Students!
I had 2 students tell me they prated the prayer because they could not remember ever praying it even though they thought they were saved, 1 girl rededicated herself to living for God and not herself, and 1 brand new student told me he prayed the prayer for the first time!

I have a horrible headache today, but I don’t care after that! =)

Work at Home…3rd Shift?


I guess I got my hopes up with the new baby. The first couple of nights he was calm…and now all he does is make noise. It will not STOP!!!

I don’t think I can handle it anymore…I think I will sleep at work, and then bring my work home and stay up all night to get it done? Sounds good to me! It looks like fitting that couch into my office will pay off now =)
