John Rambo: The Last Blood

I just saw John Rambo, the last of the Rambo films. This was the best action movie I have ever seen! I won’t give everything away, but the last main battle scene is so sweet…to quote a movie critic, “Jesus will weep – and you will cheer!” Overall, great movie, but I would say the movie is about 15 minutes too short, coming in at 1 hour and 45 minutes, but I can say that Sylvester Stallone ended the series of John Rambo right.

I am a Rambo fan and always will be. If you are not, you may not like this movie, yet it does have a good story, it shows a perfect picture of the sufferings of the Burmese people on an everyday basis…Nicki even said it was good! Go See it and if you need someone to go with you, call me!

Dentist

I went to the dentist yesterday. My last visit was back in November which was the first visit for me in a looooong time. Literally like 15 years! I hate the dentist, I think I get that from my dad, and of course some horrific experiences growing up. Novacane only half way works on me, and so my top teeth suffer. I only had 2 cavities over 15 years, that in my mind is awesome (I can probably thank my lack of interest in sweets), and after yesterday, I hope its another 15+ years before they find another. My new dentist finally found a way to numb the top tooth he was filling, but it took like 9 shots of Novacane! My mouth is still sore today.

Home

I just got home from the Winter Retreat that I spoke at for my friend Chris. I will post the 2 pictures that I have later. It was a great trip, Christ Keys and Mon-Aetna Baptist Church has an awesome group of students, who I believe is going to turn their city upside down for Christ…awesome group of students! Gotta go catch up on some work I missed today. I can say this…tonight I am realizing just how much I miss investing in the lives of students and seeing life change happen. I am drained from 4 brand new messages in less than a week, but at the same time I am energized from being able to live out my passions.

West Virginia: Winter Retreat

I head out this afternoon for West Virginia. I’m speaking at a Winter Retreat for a friends church. They are actually in South Carolina, but I am riding with them on their chartered bus to West Virginia. After seeing about 4 or 5 charter bus crashed over the last 2 weeks throughout the US I am wondering if I Should have just driven myself.Just know this…if you hear of a charter bus crashing anywhere near West Virginia…I will be screaming like a little girl. I have no problems admitting that. Especially after last years incident with a charter bus on the ski trip our student ministry took…that was scary!
